Alex Chen is the CFOO and Co-Founder of Swimmetrix, where he leads the company’s finance, operations, and long-term planning.
He focuses mainly on the business side of Swimmetrix, from budgeting and organization to the practical decisions that help a small team keep moving. As an avid student of financial markets and business strategy, Alex tries to think carefully about how short-term decisions connect to the company’s longer-term direction.
Alex also brings a deep interest in the science behind swimming, training, and performance. He spends time digging into how athletes improve, how training choices affect results, and how better information can help swimmers and coaches make smarter decisions.
He also plays a major role in Swimmetrix’s outreach and relationships within the swimming community. Through conversations with elite athletes (Olympians and National Team members), coaches, and others around the sport, he helps bring outside perspective back to the team so Swimmetrix stays focused on tools that swimmers and coaches would actually use.
Besides Swimmetrix, Alex swims at Austin Swim Club. He is focused on helping turn the Swimmetrix’s ideas, perspectives, and product goals into a clear direction for where Swimmetrix goes next.
