Derek Wei
VP of Product
Derek is Swimmetrix’s VP of Product, the person who helps turn rough ideas into things people can actually use.
He lives in the space between design and engineering. He helps to figure out what is worth building, how it should work, and whether it can realistically be made. That covers product direction, design feasibility, modeling, and all the practical calls in between. He works closely with Housen to test and refine an idea before it ever becomes a feature.
Derek goes to Westlake High School, where he is on the robotics team and plays in the Symphony Orchestra, and he has been part of the All-Region Orchestra. His own racing background at Nitro Swimming keeps his product instincts grounded in what swimming actually feels like.
