Derek Wei

Derek Wei is Swimmetrix’s Vice President of Product. He works across product design, engineering decisions, practicality, and development planning to help turn Swimmetrix ideas into usable tools.

At Swimmetrix, Derek supports the technical and product side of projects, including engineering strategy, product direction, 3D modeling, design feasibility, and practical implementation. He works closely with the CTO to evaluate what can be built, how it should function, and how Swimmetrix products can become more useful for swimmers and coaches.

Outside of Swimmetrix, Derek attends Westlake High School, where he is part of the robotics team and performs in the Symphony Orchestra. He was also a member of the All-Region Orchestra. His high-caliber experience at Nitro Swimming gives him a practical understanding of the sport and helps keep Swimmetrix grounded in real swimmer experience.
