Housen Chen
Co-FounderCTO
Housen started Swimmetrix along with Alex Chen in 2025 and runs the technical side as CTO.
He focuses on building tools that make swim data easier to understand, easier to use, and more connected to real training and racing. His work spans product design, engineering decisions, and the technical systems that help turn Swimmetrix’s ideas into practical tools for swimmers and coaches.
He leads the development of StrokeLab, Swimmetrix’s race-analysis platform. StrokeLab helps athletes break down races, compare key metrics, spot patterns behind a final time, and turn that information into a clearer plan for improvement.
Away from Swimmetrix, Housen swims at Austin Swim Club and sits on the South Texas Swimming Governance Committee, where he brings a swimmer’s point of view to the decisions that shape the sport.
Housen attends Westlake High School, where he is also a cellist in the orchestra program. He hopes to bring his many experiences together to lead Swimmetrix and evolve the future of the swimming.
